2. Authentication Flow
LegalJK employs a secure, verified access model to ensure data integrity.
Registration
Navigate to /auth/register. Enter your full name, professional email, and a strong password. Note: Your account will be created in an inactive state pending verification.
Activation
Access is granted only after approval. You will either receive an approval notification from an Admin or be provided with a unique Activation Key.
Login & Recovery
Once activated, log in using your credentials. If you lose access, use the "Forgot Password" flow to reset credentials via a secure Email OTP.
3. Creating & Managing Cases
The Case Management module is the heart of LegalJK.
Creating a New Case
- Navigate to Cases → Click Create Case.
- Fill in mandatory fields: Case Number, Title, Client Name, Court, and Case Type.
- Add a detailed description to help the AI understand the context later.
- Click Save.
Evidence & Documents
You can upload PDFs, images, or text files directly into a case folder. These documents are indexed securely and can be referenced by the AI assistant.
4. Hearings Management
Never miss a court date. Hearings are tracked individually within each case context.
- Add Hearing: Open specific Case → Hearings Section → Add Hearing. Input the date, specific court hall, and purpose of hearing.
- Tracking: The dashboard aggregates all upcoming hearings across all cases to give you a daily agenda.
5. Draft Creation
LegalJK offers two modes of drafting:
Manual Drafting
For standard templates.
Use the built-in rich text editor to write, format, and save drafts linked to specific clients.
AI Drafting Pro
Context-aware generation.
Select a document type (e.g., Notice, Petition). The AI analyzes case facts and generates a structured draft instantly.
6. Case Chat (AI Assistant)
Each case has a dedicated "Legal Assistant" chatbot that has read the specific case details and documents.
Common Queries:
Click the Settings icon in chat to toggle constraints:
- Indian Law Only: Restricts citations to Indian IPC/CrPC/Constitution.
- Facts Only: Prevents AI hallucination; strictly sticks to uploaded data.
- No Assumptions: AI will ask for clarification rather than guessing.
